WHAT IS REIKI?

Reiki is a Japanese word meaning universal life energy. It is based on the concept that everything in the universe is made up of energy and this 'life force energy' that flows all around us can be drawn into the body to heal. It is a healing art that works with the imbalances of the body, mind and spirit to support good health and wellbeing.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF REIKI?

There are many incredible benefits of Reiki, for example:
- relief of stress and pain
- improvement of self-confidence and self-esteem
- acceleration of healing from illness and injuries
- assistance with trauma and grief
- improvement of mental clarity and quality of sleep
- relief of depression and anxiety
- address of weight loss and addiction
- beneficial for pregnancies, babies and children

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM MY FIRST SESSION?

- You will come to a session in loose comfortable clothing and lie on a Reiki table fully clothed.
- The practitioner will simply place their hands on or above your head, shoulders, chest, stomach and feet, allowing the Reiki energy to flow wherever it is required.
- Whilst the effects vary from each individual, most may feel tingling or a pulsing sensation, a feeling of warmth and comfort or may fall asleep.
- A typical session lasts around one hour.

WHAT IS DISTANT REIKI?

Distant Reiki sessions are available for those who are unable to attend appointments in person. You can receive distant Reiki from anywhere in the world

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR DISTANT REIKI SESSION?

As the session will be done from a distance, you can find a comfortable space in your home or outside and relax for one hour. You can sleep during the session or stay awake - this will not impact the results of the session.
Some clients like to listen to meditation music and others sit or lay down in silence. It is completely your choice!
Once the session has finished, please remember to drink a glass of water to stay hydrated.
